Yes, I've been pretty impressed with the clean up. We have a lot of volunteers here and crews from other states still helping out. FEMA has been here and they have already given our city a large amount of money to help defray the costs of the recovery. It's going to take a while but progress is being made every day.

Finally got some photos up. The ones I took the night of the hurricane didn't turn out. I couldn't get my camera to work so I had to use my old one. These are the only ones that you can somewhat make out. Taken from off my balcony of the water filling the street.

Here the water is higher and that big 8' wood fence is washed away

Here's our beautiful boardwalk the morning after the hurricane hit.

Whats left of our sand dunes, all that exposed wood used to be covered by the dunes

Taken 3 weeks after hurricane, all the stuff people had to throw out due to damage

The mountain of sand made from all of the sand removed from the streets. It's even higher now.

Thanks guys Smile
.We are probably the only full ocean view townhouse/condo complex that came through in relatively decent condition. The only damage done was to the garages facing south. The garage doors were bashed in by the waves and the cars in them were totaled. Our garage faces north and all we got was a couple inches of salt water. It was quite a sight seeing about 3 feet of water raging down the street like an angry river. We ended up going down to our units lobby and trying desperately to stem the flow of water inside the building. We put a piece of plywood up against the door and braced it with a 2x4 and then opened up the back garage doors so the water that did come in had somewhere to go rather than up the stairs to our condo. It was kind of scary, seeing waves crashing against the glass fronted door in the lobby. If the door had given way, we would have had a lot more damage. The ocean surge actually merged in the middle of our city with the bay surge. (we live on an off shore island) So the people who live in the middle of our city got hit really hard. Our boardwalk that runs for 2 miles was demolished. For a long time there was limited stock in the grocery stores (only non-perishables) and no gas for the cars. We were basically living in a bubble for a long time as we could get no communication from anyone about what was going on. You have no idea what it is like to see National Guard Humvees patrolling your city. We were thankful they were there though. We would make trips to their distribution centers to get drinkable water and also whatever information they could give us. God bless the National Guard, the Red Cross and all the volunteers!

Well we survived! We went for 2 weeks without power or heat, 12 days without useable water or sewer and we finally, just last night, got our phone and Internet back (over 3 weeks without). Plus we still have no cell phone service :/ But we have our house (though a bit more beach front than we would like) and my family is fine. So just a quick stop-by to tell everyone we survived.

Fixed it for you Razz
Well norcris put the thing on my PC so I figured I would give it a try. It actually ran fairly well considering my PC is not that great. I had a terrible benchmark score but the game seemed to run fine to me. Of course I wasn't in a party with a lot of action either so we will see.

Opy, awww thanks Smile
