Grind testing.

I tried to get clarification on the psu boards on this, but it didnt happen.

When I grinded my Yohmei spear (5*), I got it to +6
this added 102 att to it.

When looking for what determines the amount of the grind per each grind, all i could find was that its a random number (1-10) (psupedia)

This i know not to be true. Altho, this seems to be the case for PP

In looking back at my spear, I added 5% of the ATT to the ATT, at each phase and came up with the exact amount of ATT that it had at its final stage.

So, I'm pretty sure now its a set percent of the ATT per grind.

Heres my question.

Can anyone else that is thinking about grinding pay close attention to the base ATT before and after the grind and let me know if it is 5% ?

I have a feeling the % can vary between weapon manufacturers.
And possibly weapon types, (sword/gun/casting)
might also vary on how advanced the weapon is (3*, 4*, 5*)

This would be important in choosing on weapon type in the future.

Thanks for your help. Im going to grind some junk C/B rank weaps once or twice to test this week.

Mabye we can use this thread to keep track, and possible create a grid that can help others.

Kitty ground 2 Rayhardods to 5 each and they had the exact same TP and PP when she was done. So I'm not sure that PP is random either. I'd say it's either a set percentage like you say or every weapon has it's own "grind table" that determines it's stats at each grind level.

well, for ATP it looks like my theory is shot....

no % seems to match.

Your auto gun atp went up 17 points on the first grind.

Your gigush went up 14 points in one grind, then averaged 28 for the next three grinds. which is a huge number.

so now im completely confused.

One theory i have, is that its a random number, which is then added to the number of previous grinds, but i think thats kinda out too.

Im starting to think its just a random number, but the range is higher, mabye (1-30)

im not real good with math, so i might be missing a pattern...

anyway, ill let you know if i come up with anything specific.

Well, I'm not sure it's a pattern so much as "each weapon grinds a specific way" Though maybe if I had more data I could help you out. I'd say, test a class of weapons first, using different manufacterers to see if there is a specific pattern up to say...+3? If you have good grinders and it's a lucky day for you that is usually guaranteed on a C rank weapon at least =^.^=
