Rather than having bits and pieces of information scattered throughout this forum, I'm going to pull it all together into this thread.

*NOTE: Everything in this thread is currently a Work-In-Progress, that means it's not done or finalized in any sense. If you wish to add something, PM me. Include all necessarily information and links for your request.*
*NOTE2: Most posts will be integrated into the top post, and conversations in this thread will be deleted. Please keep this in mind before posting, and do not take offense if/when your posts are deleted.*

FAQs:
Where is everyone?
-OSGuild unfortunately has been split between Ship 2 and Ship 10. The Ship 2 meeting lobby is lobby/block 5. The confirmed players on each ship are as follows:
Code:
SHIP 2
Forum name  ID          Character
Alcus       Alcus       Alcus
Lloyd       VentAileron ラフィーナ
Opy         459845cb    Opythia
Vhaman      vham        vhaman
Olorin      Rian v.3    Rian v.3
Norcris     Norcris     Faust
BlaZenKei   BlaZenKei   BlaZenKei (Going to stay with his current team, Team EP3 FTW)
Shuten      TwiztedAxiz Kagome (not in the team yet, sent a friend request, waiting until he accepts it)

SHIP 10
BlaZenKei   BlaZenKei2   BlaZenKei

How do I find/make a OSG gameroom?
-The party names used for OSG games are "OSG" and "OSGuild". The default password for an OSG game is "0110" (that's zero one one zero). Using the password is not required, but works if you want to keep only OSG members in the party.

I can't get into the meeting lobby, what do?
-There is no current official backup lobby in case it is full. Sorry.

How I find OSG members in-game?
-This is how to do it (Arks Search). Once you find members, it is recommended to send a friend request for ease later.

Who can invite me to the in-game guild?Alcus, Vhaman, Opy, Vent(Lloyd), Norcris, and Rian and invite at the moment.

No one from OSG is online, where can I find the rest of the english speaking community?
-The PSO-W community is generally on Ship2 lobbies 20-22. There are also some players on Ship 10, but I do not know the lobby.

Okay, so that's all well and good, but how do I play a game I don't understand/can't read?
-Guides, my friend. Here is the most basic link anyone can give you: http://bumped.org/psublog/ . This blog includes guides for the menus, how to do client orders and the matter board, and many other things to keep your life simple. The homepage is also a good place for up-to-date news, updates, etc.

All the enemy names are in english (on the blog), what is what?
-There is a enemy name translation list here: http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2774720. Also many of the instances of an enemy name being used on the blog is a link to a picture of the enemy.

Drop table, anyone?
-There is a drop table, but the most useful drop table is in-game. To access it select a mission, then choose the 3nd option, then the 1st opinion. This will give you a list of every item that has dropped on that mission on that difficulty, as well as how many times it has dropped on your ship. Useful, no? Also, http://tinyurl.com/7qe3v4c for English.

What are all these currencies?!
-There are at least 4 currencies in PSO2. First is is Meseta, the most basic currency used for buying healing items, grinding your equipment and more. You can get meseta by killing enemies, completing quests, and breaking boxes. Next is FUN points, you get these by logging on regularly, it is best to log on once a day to get this. Arkz cash is the pay-to-win currency, exchange real money for AC at an approx rate of 1yen:1AC and is used for in-game boosts and services such as temporary bonus EXP, bonus meseta, resetting Mag stats and more. And finally, Photon Drops/Crystals/Spheres are back. No known use as of yet.

What about PSO-World?
-Unbookmark it, pretend it never existed. PSO-W isn't as up-to-date, does not have official guides, and is restricted by an agreement with SEGA preventing them from talking about things like english patches, etc. You don't need it. The only thing that might serve a purpose is the community forums.

FAQ /end.

Important links:
-http://ryuhiroshi.ry.funpic.de/ - Skill tree calculator. Much more useful than the blogs translation for those that don't like comparing kanji.
-http://bumped.org/psublog/ - Multipurpose blog mentioned earlier. Check here first with questions, they probably have a guide for it.
-http://tinyurl.com/7qe3v4c - Drop chart + item/ability translation. Very useful.
-http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195677 - Basic MAG guide
-http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2774720 - Enemy translation list

Changelog:
7/8/12 Edit1 - Added dropchart FAQ and link, added enemy translation link. Added mag guide link. Added currency FAQ
7/11/12 Edit2 - Added JP wiki, fixed the block being full FAQ, added Alcus' code version of the ship inhabitants, removed posts, and accumulated info into the top post.
7/13/12 Edit3 - Remove the old drop chart document, replaced it with a significantly more complete and better organized one. Removed JP wiki link, as it is obsolete with the english one now posted.

Alright. I'll post the player IDs/character names of everyone from OSG who is in the Team now on Ship 2. Contact anyone of them (like through Visiphone, or if you see them in the lobby) to be invited into the Team, since I made all the OSG members managers.

Here it goes:
Code:
SHIP 2
Forum name  ID          Character
Alcus       Alcus       Alcus
Lloyd       VentAileron ラフィーナ
Opy         459845cb    Opythia
Vhaman      vham        vhaman
Olorin      Rian v.3    Rian v.3
Norcris     Norcris     Faust
BlaZenKei   BlaZenKei   BlaZenKei (Going to stay with his current team, Team EP3 FTW)
Shuten      TwiztedAxiz Kagome
Dr. Ego     NIBBIE      NIBBIE

SHIP 10
BlaZenKei   BlaZenKei2  BlaZenKei
Dr. Ego     dr. ego     Dr. Ego
Mina        ???         ???

I need the player IDs from Jeffy. I heard from Olorin that Jeffy should also be on Ship 2, but I searched for both player ID and character name, but there is no Jeffy.
Update: Added BlaZenKei and Shuten to the list, added Shuten to the team, added Dr. Ego to the list and team.

Update 2: Since we have all the known players from Ship 2 in our team, I have reduced the amount of Managers. The Managers at this moment (ones who can invite) are Opy, Vhaman, Olorin/Rian and Vent/Lloyd. I'm still missing Jeffy though, I cannot find him.

Aww, sorry to hear that Zalure and Sukotesumi. Sad But I can understand an English version would be much easier to play.

Olorin suggested that we should post a katakana chart for the ones who are interested in learning it (it only takes a few days to learn it and it helps you get through the game much easier). Well here is one that you can use. It shows all the katakana and you can even tick the boxes above every column and click Practice to practice the selected columns. Start with one column (the vowels), practice them until you know them all, then add another column, practice, add another, etc. Be sure to tick off all the columns in the Hiragana tab. Hope this helps.

UPDATE:
Here's a link to a guide on Affix (Ability) transfer on weapons and units. It is much more extensive than the one on bumped.org.

There is still a person named Dr. Ego on ship 2 though. Rolling Eyes

Something that is worth of note in the long run.

You can get FUN points from logging in daily, but there are other methods too.

There's a Good Job System, which allows you to give Good Jobs to other players, earning you and the other player FUN points. You can only get FUN points from the Good Jobs you send 10 times a day. Assuming that you don't have a premium license, the person you are giving a Good Job to is on your friend list and you weren't that lazy to not type anything in the comments (worth 1 point), you get 5 FUN points from a Good Job.

To send a Good Job, the easiest way is to go to your friends list, click anyone online or offline, it's the third option for online players and first for offline. Type something in the input field, anything! Then just click the left button to confirm.

It only takes a minute to send the daily 10 Good Jobs and gives you 50 FUN points. I am not sure how many points you get for receiving though.

Another way to get FUN points is to register your character as a bot that people on your friend list can invite as a bot. If a friend clears a mission with your AI, you and him both get some FUN points. You can get the reward once a day with each AI friend.

You have to manually register and update your AI, as it will use your class, level and equipped weapon the moment you register it. So the AI will not be automatically updated when you level up.

To update your AI, go the Visiphone (purple computer in the lobbies), take the second option, then the first. You will get a screen with a lot of options, these are all optional and it's fine to leave it at default. If you are wondering though, they seem to control how your AI behaves and the input box is what your AI says when he/she is invited. Click the big button at the end when you are done.

There is yet another way to get FUN points and that is to win the daily and weekly interrupt rankings. I don't know too much about that one though.

ugh... hopefully they will decide to implement a limited time event of some kind where you can change ships if needed.

There was actually something like that not too long after launch. They might decide to do it again when they lift all the character locks.

Please keep conversations out of this thread... (see note 2.)

Hope you can get back on ship2 soon, Ego.
