Besides Ego and I, is there anyone who is going to be getting this for PSP?
I thought it would be fun to make a thread and discuss it as we play and help out with language barriers etc. And if i can figure out how to take screen shots, I thought everyone would enjoy that too.
There are a couple of ways to do it. But downloading stuff on my psp is still making me nervous right now. I'll let you know if I figure it out tho. |

I'm still considering picking this up. The language barrier does'nt bother me too much seeing as I play other imports xD. But the lack of real online multiplayer makes me not want to =x _________________

I just recently 'learned' how to get music to download to my PSP. There is a disc for it called media manager (mine came with my mega pack). You first download that program to your comp, then you use that program to change w/e type of media you want on your PSP to PSP compatible files. It took me 3 different attempts. The last attempt was 5 hours of intense studying of the manual with help from Olorin. Have fun. _________________ Metrillin - Night Elf Hunter - lvl 70 - TFC - Skin/LW maxxed (dragonscale specialty)

music was easy for me, it was just a drag and drop of my mp3's into the music file. Also have a bunch of pics and vids of my kids etc in the photo and movie areas.
The thing im nervous about is third party or homemade type utilities for psp, which is all I'm seeing for having the capablitiy to do screen shots.
There is a demo happening in the middle of this month im thinking about downloading, I'll let you guys know when thats up. |

| You most likely will only find homebrew softaware for the PSP and that won't work if you use official sony firmware. |

Ok, heres what i did.
I needed something that can download torrent files.
At some point I also downloaded WinRar. Thats what I used to extract it to my desk top.
once I got it on my desk top, I copied the "psp" folder in the file, and pasted it into the "psp" file in my PSP.
I've been playing for a while this morning, I'll give you some of the details:
there is a short story mode that takes you thru some LL etc. AFter your done with that you have access to three parum areas, Two you can do C and B missions in, and one you can do C.
Its pretty easy to do even if you dont know japanese, the only place I got stuck is when it didnt let me do the parum missions. I found out I needed to invite the two npc's avail to my team. Thats pretty easy to figure out.
when your in the parum area, you can either pick missions, or go to the GRM shop. There is no place to run around freely in this demo.
I have found some interesting weps etc in the missions, some weird kubara spears, a very strange dbl saber dropped by poltys, and I also got rappys. They gave me al tips, al tippies, and a rappy fan slicer :3.
lvl cap is 20, which you will reach before your done with all the missions.
All in all, it plays the same as psu, fight style etc. I'm loving the hell out of it too.
I wish i could take screenies of these weps. lol
if anybody wants more help getting it on your psp, ill try to help some, it took me a long time to get it done, asking around etc. |

| I came across the same problem too opy with not inviting the NPC's. I love the game and really wish they had an online mode. I hope some savy programmers out there figure out a way to make the game think its using ad hoc mode when you really can just connect to other people using infrastructure. The game would be 10x more awesome if I could read what was going on lol. |

Found a link to a trailer http://www.pspfanboy.com/2008/05/14/finally-a-trailer-for-phantasy-star-portable
Looks pretty good, exceptional graphics for PSP
Also saw a double saber that looks a lot like Vivienne from PSO _________________ Level 70 Human Mage-The Underbog

Just installed this to my PSP, but now it says I need to update my PSP to 3.95 or later to play. I'm 3.40 now. Looks like another download for me.
Though I was hoping to downgrade my PSP so I can play homebrew applications on it. Looks like that's out of the question now. _________________
