I received an e-mail today that might help you guys decide where to buy your gas from.

"I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are
the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil.

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell.......................... 205,742,000 barrels

Chevron/Texaco.........144,332,000 barrels

Exxon /Mobil..............130,082,000 barrels

Marathon/Speedway..117,740,000 barrels

Amoco..........................62,231,000 barrels

Citgo Gas comes from South America , from a Dictator who hates Americans.

Do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (Oil is now 126.05 a barrel)

Here are some large companies that DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil :

Sunoco................ 0 barrels

Conoco................ 0 barrels

Sinclair................ 0 barrels

BP/Phillips.......... 0 barrels

Hess.................... 0 barrels

ARC0................... 0 barrels

Also: Pilot, Flying J, Love's, RaceTrac, Valero

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing."

seems like i get my gas from a BP or a Racetrack most of the time, so im good.

the Bin Laden family owns Cheveron 40% (thats a fact) Hugo Chavez of venuzuala owns Citgo.. Here is an idea.. Mexico has endless oil supply, how about one free barrel a day from Vincheta Fox for every illegal he has in this country.thats about 24 million free barrels of oil a day..seems reasonable?? (why isnt the Iraqi government giving us free oil for freeing them??? Its all a racket, but remeber oil companies get only 8 cents and the Federal Government get 26 cents. atleast the oil companies use it to look for more sites to drill what does the Federal government do with it????) you have to realize though that the reason why oil is high is because more countries are begining to Industrialize. they are getting tired of riding in thier rickshaws and they want cars now..so its not just America

Olorin has a good point, India just recently announced they are going to be spending over 1 trillion in the next five years building roads and other things to further industrialize. I buy my gas from BP so it seems like I'm good.

I buy my gas from Hess. The funny thing is, there is a Mobile station right next door and they charge about 10 cents more per gallon than Hess. When I went by the other day, Hess was 4.07 and Mobile was 4.17. And people still go to Mobile! I don't get it. Brand name loyalty?
