EX mission disscusion (boss boxes)

At this point everyone knows, the good drops are in the third set of boxes on the EX. These however are not easy to get to unless a good plan is formulated.

Even the boxes on the B missions drop nice units.

So far, the hints that i have gathered are:

1. Combination of fortefighter and fortetecher is best.
(new spear pa, and gi-techs / nosdiga seem to be the favorites)
2. At least one cast is good, two is best, reason being that an SUV used on the last few monsters before a box set will clear the boxes to save time)
3. Its good to try and stay near the middle to group the monsters for the fortetechers.
4. Do not loot anything (accept boards) until end.
5. keeping a close eye on your PP and refilling it at an ideal time, not when its empty.
6. Resta is a waste of time when its possible to use a mate in the middle of a combo.

I know that faust has been running some A missions and clearing, so he might have some other hints,

anyway, I'd like to work on a consistant method for this, even if its just B rank runs, so the team can stock up on some good units while the missions are up.

We've tried some of these tactics last weekend, I'm pretty sure we got close a few times repeatedly scoring at least a ranks.
I'm pretty curious about the last boxes myself since they seem to drop quite good a lot of the time.

Faust, Jeffy, me and a random person were able to clear the B level boxes and get S rank on the EX missions. So B is not too difficult to achieve. A is the hard ones Laughing

Faust has cleared it a few times with other people so it can be done. SUV's definitely help a lot. It also helps if the rangers in the group use the crossbow. (too bad my crossbow arts are still way too low to help any) I know one of our OSG group runs ended up where we got the last boxes but we beat the last enemy after the time was up so we were wisked out before we could open the goodies Sad

yeah, gen, blaz, andrameda and I got to the B boxes last night, didnt have time to open them, but we could have done better with a few more tries.

one point about B rank is, its hard to lvl up an SUV charge on them, so you end up goofing around with the boxes.

I wonder if megistar,.. er whatever that radius dark tech is called would work on the boxes.

i've heard that megaverse works on the boxes. i also heard that if you can learn their drop pattern, even shotguns and lasers can help too.

Now that I've had a chance to play a few...it seems like the best way is to have 2 fortetechers in the center spamming gi techs, and if everyone is about in the center, the monsters will all move into range nicely. High level shots are great for opening boxes, and I can imagine crossbows work well too.

Though this is just speculation. I have only one character who can play A rank and she died twice on an ex mission p.q So I can't really help out when it comes to A's at all...
